When it comes to modifying your myspace profiles your mostly going to be using CSS.

On myspace you will not be using %26lt;html%26gt; tags at all your mostly going to use %26lt;style type="text/css"%26gt;

The thing about it is that you can't change what myspace has used in there html but you can change how it is displayed with CSS.

To modify myspace and not know too much about HTML or CSS is not reccommended. But if you still want thats ok I will give you some simple steps to get your started.

1. Download the web browser "Firefox" and the add-on "Web Developer" This will allow you to see and temperately edit all the CSS on myspace and see what things would look like before you decide to add them. Also it is important because you need to know what the class and id names are in order to modify their looks.

Firefox- http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/

Web Developer- https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox...

2. Study up on CSS

Well, notepad kind of sucks... but anyway, check out the HTML, CSS and Javascript tutorials at www.w3schools.com. They'll get you started.

Hello,

Best thing for a newbie to do is learn some HTML and CSS.

Myspace is not real hard, nor does one need to be a expert at these programs.

I suggest going to photobucket or other such online place for your pictures and layout hosting. The free account is good, but for web site design it is best to get the paid account.

If you are wanting to just do your own, go to your code you have now and manipulate it. I personally feel working at this yourself is a better way of learning it.

It takes time to learn such things, but if you truly want to learn you will.

Contact me though the mail and I am more then willing to do some one on one with you if you are willing to learn. I have my own way of doing this as other do. I use several programs, not just one.

Have a great day! Or in my part of the world, night.
